Rape is a type of abuse usually involving sexual intercourse or other forms of sexual penetration carried out against a person without the person’s consent.
That was what happened to a promising young girl, that the world would have celebrated time to come, Miss Vera Uwaila Omozuwa.
She was a 100 level student of the university of Benin from the department of Microbiology, Faculty of Life Sciences. She died from injuries sustained from the rape incident that happened on Friday 29th May, 2020 at her Church, RCCG.
Our team gathered that she went to read for her forth coming examination.
Unfortunately, she died before passing the said exam because of some inhuman and wicked being; that failed to control themselves; failed to control their Limbido; failed to understand that a Man is born of a woman, raised by a woman, marries a woman and may give birth to a woman; but couldn’t respect a woman’s dignity and self respect. Nigerians have since taken to social media and streets to demand justice for this gruesome act.
With an added voice, we condemn it to the latter and call for justice for Miss Vera Uwaila and other numerous victims. Morealso, we request the safety and security of the girl child.
May her soul and the souls of other victims rest in the bosom of the Lord, Amen 🙏
