FOUR SOURCES OF LIMITATION

Limitation is a point or level beyond which something does not or may not extend or pass. God has commanded us in Gen 1:28, to be fruitful, multiply, replenish subdue  and have dominion over everything that was created by him. Pondering over this scripture;  I deduced therefore, that we were given the sole privilege to be above all hindrances, walls and huddles in achieving destinies; but this seems to be a lot harder than we think. Being faced with the following  indices:

1. YOUR ZONE:                                                                                              Zone is any continuous area that differs in some respect , or is distinguished for some purpose, from adjoining areas, or within which certain distinctive circumstances exist. These areas are defined by any force to dictate your jurisdiction and to map out the extent to which you go in life. In other words, where you are can be a source of limitation to you. If  you are is a ‘low minded people’s zone’ , you will be forced to think and be like them. When next you are establishing a relationship, try to find out where the relationship is heading to, otherwise quit because recess is over; for the world give way for those who know where they are going. Israel occupies as far as Abraham saw, (he saw small); nothing more nothing less. How far do you see? Men can decide your zone for you. Thank God for Thomas Edison’s mother who vehemently disbelieved the assertion and the innuendo of his assuming teachers over her God gift of a son, who irrespective of the presumed zone, broke assumption and invented the light bulb. That place you are is too cold for comfort. A ship in a habour is safe but that’s not what ships are made for. There is danger in safety. You will never gain the sight of some distant harbour if you are afraid of losing sight of the shore.
2. FEAR OF TOMORROW:                                                                    We all ask too many questions about tomorrow. There are two days you will not want to worry about; YESTERDAY AND TOMORROW.   Allow yesterday and stop worrying for tomorrow, it will surely take care of itself. Live today as though no tomorrow. Jesus admonishing us in Matt 6:34, said take no thought for tomorrow, for tomorrow shall take care of itself. Helen Keller will say,the greatest tragedy to befall a person is to have sight but lack vision. The tragedy of life is not that we die, but what dies inside a man while he lives. ONE MAN WITH COURAGE IS A MAJORITY (ANDREW JACKSON) .     

3.  FEAR OF FAILURE:                                                                            The greatest mistake a man can make is to be afraid of making one (Elbert Hubbard).  Failure is a sure sign that you are doing something. People who don’t fail have failed trying. When next you fail, give yourself kudos and fast track your next move. Failures gives you knowledge and applied knowledge is power. They say experience is the best teacher but to those who learn from it. IF YOU TRY AND YOU DON’T SUCCEED, TRY,  TRY, TRY AGAIN. KEEP TRYING UNTIL YOU GET IT RIGHT. KEEP HITTING THE IRON UNTIL IT BREAKS.  THINK IT, FANTASIZE IT, DREAM IT, LIVE IT, SAY IT UNTIL IT CLICKS. You cannot afford the luxury of allowing worry to deplete your energy.

4. FEAR OF TRYING NEW THINGS:                                          Obstacles are what you see when you take your eyes off the goals. The dictionary is the only place where success comes before works ( Bill Newman). Those who think they have it all, or know it all, face extinction. The world we are is moving. New ideas keep erupting every day. Great ideas rule the world. Until you realize where you are is a take off ground ,you will continue to be down. If you don’t make effort to stand up, no crane can pick you up (Pastor George Izunwa). Don’t be satisfied with where you are; there is room for enlargement. Even God promised to do a new thing in us and we are gods. Power to create our world is in us. Adam was moving about but never knew he had another being (the woman) inside of him, until God caused him to sleep. I think some of us need to transcend into a sleeping mood to wake up seeing another being by our sides. A British Naval officer, Nelson says ‘I’m of the opinion that the boldest measures are the safest’. Courage is not the the absence of fear but the mastery of it. Imbibe the culture of the eagle, when they grow old, their feathers become weak and cannot take them as fast as they should; when they feel weak and about to die, they retire to a place far away in the rock to grow new feathers for maximum flight; If you don’t take risk, risk will take you. It’s better to die trying than dying without even trying. Persistence break resistance (Prophet Jones Erue). Neither you nor the world knows what you can do until you have tried (Bill Newman). Do your best and let God do the rest. Don’t forget to do your very best.
