TRIAL/SCREENING PROCESS
The purpose is to arrive at the final contestants that will eventually get the invitation to camp. The audition tours shall go round the nine (9) states that make-up the Niger Delta Region to audit from the many talented youth in the region. Each state shall have the opportunity to provide one hopeful raw talent in each category, except the dance category, that can be allowed for five persons in a group, other category like singing comedy Artwork, are one hopeful each from each state.

Niger Delta Talent Hunt” Competition Official Rules 2016
- ELIGIBILITY: The Competition is open to any legal resident of Niger Delta Region whose age fits within an age category described within this document. Age is based on the contestant’s birth date.
High School, College and University students who are enrolled in an accredited institution within Nigeria are eligible. Any person who is not eligible but who wishes to perform in the live rounds may do so for exhibition, not competition.
They must still qualify based on scores, but may not receive a Grand Prize. Each contestant must have completed a registration through the Website at www.g-influencemagazine.com and assented to the Website Terms and Conditions. Furthermore, no contestant is eligible if they are currently under exclusive contract by any music agency, promoter, manager, venue, or in another music industry contract or will come under such contract during the duration of the competition. Violation of this condition will result in disqualification from the competition.
Employees, investors, officers, directors, and agents (including judges) of Niger Delta Talent Hunt, together with the immediate family members and those living in the same household of such persons, are not eligible to participate as contestants but may, with permission of NIGER DELTA TALENT HUNT perform for exhibition.
- HOW TO ENTER: Contestants may enter the Competition by logging on to www.g-influencemagazine.com and completing an online form, in accordance with the Website Terms and Conditions. Each Contestant attests that he/she has read, or has had read to him/her and understands, these Competition Official Rules (“Official Rules”) and agrees to be bound by the terms and all applicable conditions of the Competition set forth in these Official Rules and the Website Terms and Conditions. The same contestant is not allowed to sign up for more than one genre.
Niger Delta Talent Hunt reserves the right to remove any contestant if the contestant does not stay with the same genre(s) as entered.
ELIGIBLE CONTESTANTS MUST SUBMIT IN ACCORDANCE WITH THESE OFFICIAL RULES. NO OTHER METHOD OF SUBMISSION WILL BE ACCEPTED. SUBMISSIONS WITHOUT PROPER REGISTRATION AND CONSENT TO RELEASE FORMS WILL BE DECLARED INELIGIBLE FOR PARTICIPATION AND WILL BE DISQUALIFIED.
BETTING OR WAGERING ON THE OUTCOME OF THIS COMPETITION IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED AND ANY SUCH BREACH WILL RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION AND MAY BE PROSECUTED BY LAW.
Audition (Round 1) – All contestants will participate in the audition round of the competition. The audition round will be treated like an audition and will be a closed round (no audience). It will be a capella (no instruments or back up tracks). In all the nine (9) state, that make-up the region
These and all future rounds may be videotaped by Niger Delta Talent Hunt for its own purposes and said video will be the sole property of Niger Delta Talent Hunt. The contestant will select one song (or part of a song) within their chosen genre(s) which is no more than three minutes long. Contestants will be judged solely on voice quality (80%) and presentation (20%) in this round. Contestants who receive a “pass” determination will automatically advance to the kickoff round. If there is a “cut off” number allowed to advance to the next round, it will be posted on the web site under the “latest updates” page. All contestants who advance to the next round will be notified in person at their audition or by email within one week of their audition.
Kickoff round (Round 2) – The kickoff round, and all subsequent rounds, will be an open round (in front of a live audience). Contestants will sing with the contestant’s choice of either a back-up track cd (contestant is responsible for acquiring and bringing their own back-up track in the requested format which will not include voice) or with EITHER a piano or guitar. If contestant plays a piano or guitar and wants to accompany themselves, they may. Or they may use their own separate accompanist. The Contestant is responsible for the quality of their accompanist and Niger Delta Talent Hunt is not responsible for musical errors of the accompanist which may affect the contestant’s performance. The judges will be instructed not to judge the contestant on the performance of the accompanist, but the vocalist only.
GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
By participating, each Contestant agrees that the Competition Entities and each of their respective agents, representatives, affiliates, subsidiaries, accountants and legal advisors, and each of their respective employees, shareholders, officers, and directors are not responsible or liable for, and shall be released and held harmless from:
NIGER DELTA TALENT HUNT reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to suspend, postpone or cancel the Competition at any time for any reason, including, without limitation, if a computer virus, bug or other technical problem corrupts the administration, security, or proper conduct of the Competition, strikes, lock-outs, acts of God, technical difficulties, venue issues, ticketing issues, financial hardship, and other events not within the reasonable control of NIGER DELTA TALENT HUNT.
All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of the Competition, or the rights and obligations of Contestants and the Competition Entities in connection with the Competition, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of Nigeria, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules or provisions that would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than that of Nigeria.
NIGER DELTA TALENT HUNT reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual it finds, in its sole determination, to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Competition; to be acting in violation of the Official Rules; or to be acting in a disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, entice, threaten or harass any other person, including but not limited to other contestants, judges, board members, staff, or affiliates. NIGER DELTA TALENT HUNT may suspend or discontinue the Competition if, in its sole opinion, there is any actual or suspected tampering of the Competition, or any other malfunction, event or activity that may affect the integrity of the Competition.
Should any Contestant violate these Official Rules, the Website Terms and Conditions in any manner whatsoever, NIGER DELTA TALENT HUNT reserves the right to disqualify said Contestant without any compensation
NIGER DELTATALENT HUNT SHALL NOT BE OBLIGATED TO AWARD ANY PRIZE THAT RELATES TO OR ARISES OUT OF IMPROPER OR MISTAKEN PRIZE NOTIFICATION, OPERATION OR FUNCTION OF THIS COMPETITION.
XVI. OFFICIAL RULES: These Official Rules are subject to revision by Event Organizers of NIGER DELTA TALENT HUNT and will be posted on the G-INFLUENCE MAGAZINE Website. Any revision of the official rules will be posted on the “latest news” page of the G-IFLUENCE MAGAZINE web site.
